There are SO many different ways humans show up to boudoir shoots. And even when someone shows up for a partner, often times they themselves leave feeling a bit more whole, and a bit more loving towards themselves.
My FAVORITE comment ever from a client was when a mother of two daughters came to me wanting as a gift for her husband for their anniversary. At first, I got the classic "just don't get pictures of my stomach." Of course! No problem. This is a safe space.
Still early on in the shoot, I asked the question, "so, would you ever show your daughters these photos?" right away I got a "Nope!"
But, halfway through the shoot something happened for her. She turned to me and said, "You know what? Get some photos with my stomach. I DO want to show my daughters these photos one day, and I am proud of my body and that I birthed these two amazing girls."
THIS is why I do what I do. Not that there is an agenda, or that everyone has to have that same experience.
I am here to create safe space.
Another time, a mother of a 2 year old started crying in the session. "I haven't felt this beautiful since before I gave birth."
And another women, "THAT'S what I look like? I need to be kinder to myself!"
My job as a boudoir photographer is to help you along your journey of self-love. It's such an important journey, but hard to do alone. Our economy is strengthened by selling us the idea that we're not enough. But it's time to take that back. Through the very same medium we use to compare ourselves, I create images that you can look back on, over and over, and say to yourself, "I am enough."
When you work with me, you will see that I walk you through every step of the way and work hard to make sure you feel comfortable and confident. No question is too small or two awkward. Trust me, I've heard it all!
We start with a consultation, where I explain what the process will look like and answer any questions that you have. You won't pay the session fee to book your spot until you are absolutely confident and ready.
Once you're locked in, the deposit is paid and contract has been signed, I send an initial questionnaire to better understand what type of shoot we will be designing. Is this a personal journey? Super artsy? Sexy as possible? Natural? This is the part of the journey where pinterest can be super helpful in seeing what you like and what you don't like.
Next, I design your shoot! Using the questionnaire I design a mood board and come up with general suggestions for hair/makeup, themes and outfits (If you don't want to shop for something new, we can use what you have! I also have a lingerie closet at my studio). Once this is done, I will schedule us a zoom call and we will look it over -- we work together to create your shoot until you love it!
Day of - We meet at my studio in Northeast! (Unless we are shooting in your home). Typical start time is 10 and 9 if you are getting hair and makeup done.
And then we shoot! For a typical shoot, this will be about 2 hours.
Don't worry - you don't have to have your "sexy" face down, and you don't need to have lost those whatever pounds. Come as you are! I guide you every step of the way, and from here it's all about having fun and feeling sexy. You'll do great.
Delivery - 1-2 weeks after the shoot I will deliver a gallery of images. You can take your time and look through them in the comfort of your own home. From there you can choose from any options - digital images, an album, printed images, etc. You can find the best ways to treasure and celebrate your beauty for years to come!
I had the pleasure of working with Britta for a recent Boudoir Photoshoot, and I was truly impressed by her talent, professionalism and her environment. She has a unique eye for capturing moments and creating stunning images that tell a story. Throughout the shoot, she made me feel comfortable and confident, resulting in natural and beautiful photographs. Her attention to detail and creative approach truly set her apart. I would highly recommend Britta for anyone looking for high-quality photography with a personal touch.
Britta's creativity and style bring a unique perspective to her work. Her technical skills are impeccable! Right down to the lighting, composition, and post-processing. I received my photos within a very reasonable time frame.
Britta's communication and professionalism is hands down 100% and overall The Best that I have worked with in the industry. The online pre-photoshoot form is so helpful and surprising to me! I have never had a photographer care enough to ask me about my feelings about a photoshoot. I loved it. My satisfaction with the final results, delivery times, and overall experience working with Britta is 100% approved! Something changed in me that day of the boudoir shoot, greatness happened. I learned about myself - I'm perfect the way I am. Britta was there not only to capture it, but to help me bring it out in a safe, and loving environment.
Doing a boudoir shoot with Britta was just what I needed to feel free to express the sexual side of myself and more fully embrace it after growing up in an environment that encouraged me to stifle my sexuality (until married). Bonus, my husband can’t get enough of them, and his constant praise and melting at the sight of my pictures has me feeling sexier than ever! Britta made me feel so comfortable and encouraged me throughout the entire shoot. Thank you a Britta! These photos are stunning and are the perfect snapshot of this season of my life!
*The session fee for all Boudoir shoots is $600 and non-refundable.
It is due at time of booking.

Years ago, my sister-in-law had a friend looking for a boudoir photographer. "Britta, you should do that!" she told me.
See, she knew something about me that I hadn't even discovered yet. Some of my biggest values in life are
DEPTH. BRAVERY. EMOTIONAL SAFETY.
These, along with people and creativity, are what drive me. and they all show up in this incredibally magical space that is boudoir.
Some other things about me? I love to be outside - backpacking, hiking, mountain biking.
I am a cat mom. I'm in love with (and married to) a mental health nerd (aka a therapist) who would be fine living in a coffee shop and never going outside.
I play DND, and my family and friends are everything to me!
